Coming of Age
You seek for something more in life
to know what you're about,
to find the answers to your questions,
remove all fear and doubt.
You stumble through an empty world
searching for a cause.
Thoughts are racing randomly,
without a moments pause.
Wearily and unsuccessful
you begin to lose the fight
Until exhausted and humiliated
you surrender to the night.
All this fighting day after day
to find something you lost.
To regain that peacefully bliss again
no matter what the cost.
But in reality you find
that life is often cruel.
In doing what you think is right,
you break another rule.
Gradually your thoughts become angry and discontent.
Confusion appears between what you said and what you really meant.
How do you escape this scene,
and get away from this?
Where's there road that leads you
back to peaceful balanced bliss?
It seems so long since you have been there,
So long since you've been free.
Well, just relax, reset your mind,
close your eyes and come with me.
I'll take you to a world where the Human Soul is free,
Where people love their brother, and live in harmony.
Hate has been forgotten
here it doesn't exist.
For it was just too painful,
so it vanished in the mist.
In this world there is no fear
no restrictions on the soul
You soar to the highest realms of joy
of which you can't control.
You see how life was meant to be when Love is paramount.
No murder, No war, No terrorism,
No senseless bodycount.
Then suddenly, like a rude awakening
yours eyes are opened wide.
you're thrown back into
an insane world from which you cannot hide.
So when you start your day with that empty feeling
of no happiness in sight.
Remember you, my son, know better,
for you have seen the light.
